Project 1: Using basic surveying instruments, students will determine the height of the crown of the school's athletic field.
Method and results will be documented in a report.
Project 2: Half of the class will use trigonometric functions to determine the height of the school's flagpole. The other half will use similar figures and proportions to determine the height. Results will be compared.
